Report Finds Most Data Centers in Urban, Not Rural, Areas
A study by Institute Professor Maurizio Porfiri, postdoctoral researcher Ofek Lauber Bonomo and Industry Assistant Professor Anton Rozhkov found that 97.5% of U.S. data centers sit in metro areas, counter to the industry narrative, with Bonomo saying the actual data about rural data center growth "should be clear to the public."
