Purchase defeats Jays 8-1

Purchase, NY -  Purchase College proved to be to too strong for the young Jay hitters Saturday afternoon, handing NYU-Poly an 8-1 loss. The loss drops NYU-Poly to 3-4 (1-3 Skyline), while Purchase improves to 6-2 (1-2 Skyline).

Ariel Zeig continued her winning ways at first singles with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. At second singles Stephanie Weldon lost 1-6, 3-6 and Asiah Charles suffered a 2-6, 3-6 setback at sixth singles. Zeig and Siedah Lake fell 3-8 in first doubles.

NYU-Poly is back in action on October 3rd at home against Sage Colleges. The conference matchup will be played at College of Staten Island.
