Professor Jiang honored as IEEE Fellow


Zhong-Ping Jiang, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Professor Zhong-Ping Jiang of Poly’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering was recently elected an IEEE Fellow for his contributions to nonlinear control theory and underactuated mechanical systems.

The IEEE is the world’s leading professional association for the advancement of technology. Recognition as an IEEE Fellow is one of the organizations most prestigious honors and the highest membership grade.

IEEE Fellows are nominated by their peers and approved by the IEEE Board of Directors based on an extraordinary record of accomplishments that, according the IEEE, have “contributed importantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology, bringing the realization of significant value to society.”

Professor Jiang is currently working with his students and colleagues on cooperative control for multi-agent systems and dynamic decision making.
