NYU Research Competes in STAT Madness
A study by Rumi Chunara, assistant professor at NYU Tandon and NYU College of Global Public Health, has been selected to compete in STAT Madness 2019, a virtual tournament of the best innovations in science and medicine. Chunara’s study is one of 64 chosen for the bracketed, March Madness-inspired competition. The public was invited to vote on its favorite research starting Monday, March 4 at 12:01 a.m., with the first round of voting ending Thursday, March 7 at 11:59 p.m. … Published in October in Nature Digital Medicine, Chunara’s study used text message surveys to determine in real time how people used maternal health services during a recent Ebola outbreak.
