NYU Faculty Drive Three US Department of Energy Genesis Mission Projects to Accelerate AI-Driven Discovery
Three NYU research projects were selected for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Genesis Mission, including DAISY, a decentralized AI agent network for scientific discovery co-led by Tandon's Associate Professor Chinmay Hegde and Institute Professor Juliana Freire, with early applications planned in materials science, crop breeding, and power grid research.
