NYU and CUNY partner to create virtual reality lab at Brooklyn Navy Yard
City hopes partnership between NYU's Tandon School of Engineering and a workforce development center at Lehman College will bring more than 500 jobs

New York University's Tandon School of Engineering will develop and operate a new center dedicated to virtual reality and augmented reality at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in partnership with CUNY's Lehman College in the Bronx. The two schools were chosen by the city's Economic Development Corp. and the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment to receive a $6 million investment for the project, with the goal of creating more than 500 jobs during the next 10 years and growing the city's reputation in the industry.
