NYC housing lottery applicants' personal information exposed online in data breach, investigation finds
A CBS News investigation revealed that hundreds of thousands of NYC housing lottery applicants had personal information, including salaries, addresses, and Social Security numbers, exposed online through a website managed by Reside New York. Professor Justin Cappos called it a "goldmine for fraudsters,” warning that "this information was already retrieved by malicious parties."
