New York City Startup Incubator Targets Smart Cities, Clean Energy


… Companies that come out of the Urban Future Lab, part of the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, have over a 90% survival rate, according to the lab. Urban Future Lab is the hub for a thriving community of entrepreneurs in NYC working on solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges pertaining to sustainable urban development, a spokesperson for the lab told Energy Manager Today. The lab’s programs include the business incubation program ACRE, the proof-of-concept center PowerBridgeNY, and the Clean Start advanced diploma to help people transition to the clean tech sector.
