Ben Yearwood, Aircraft Wiring Support Equipment Commodity/ Peculiar Support Equipment Team lead under the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, received the [National Blacks in Government (BIG)] award during the BIG 39th Annual National Training Institute in Atlantic City, New Jersey Aug. 22. … He became an advocate for New York City schools, including his alma mater Polytechnic Institute of New York (now New York University Tandon School of Engineering), where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
