Men's Basketball Remains Winless
Purchase Defeats NYU-Poly 83-65
PURCHASE, NY - Four players finished in double-figure scoring for Purchase College as the Panthers notched their second consecutive win Saturday over the NYU-Poly Men's basketball team.
The Panthers beat NYU-POLY 83-65 to improve to 12-4 overall and 8-3 in Skyline Conference play, while NYU-Poly is still winless, falling to 0-16 overall and 0-11 in Skyline games.
NYU-POLY was paced by Jason Buckner’s (Littleton, CO) 15 points. The feisty Jays trailed just 42-34 at half and held their own for a bit of the second before the Panthers coasted to a near 20-point win. Purchase shot 54.2 percent for the game and forced 17 TOs to seal it.
NYU-Poly will search for its first win when they will host Farmingdale Wednesday at 8:00pm in another Skyline tilt.
