Lady Jays Rebound; Down Philadelphia Bible 62-45

BROOKLYN, NY - The NYU-Poly women's basketball team held Philadelphia Bible College to just 19% shooting in the first half, leading to a 30-18 halftime lead and an eventual 62-45 non-conference win Saturday afternoon at the Jaconbs Gymnasium.
Junior Margaux Pickell (Howell, NJ) led all scorers with a game-high 19 points and added ten boards for her third double-double of the season. She threw in 9 assists, just one short of a triple double. Senior Kristin Leitheuser (Millbrook, NY) added 17 points, while freshmen Tabitha Larsen (Ramsey, NJ) added 14 points and six assists. Sophomore Shelby Bruns (Elko, NV) led a balanced attack on the boards, pulling down 12.
The Lady Jays shot 41% from the field compared to Philadelphia Bible's 30%. NYU-Poly continued to struggle from the foul line, shooting just 53%. NYU-Poly held a solid lead on the boards, outrebounding Philadelphia Bible 44-32.
