Elsherif's research bridges bioelectronics, optics, and nanomaterials to develop innovative wearable and ingestible devices for healthcare. "What makes this capsule unique is that it was entirely fabricated in-house using 3D printing, without the need for cleanroom facilities," Elsherif said of ICOPS, an ingestible light-based device for gut research.
