Qunnect, led by NYU Tandon double-alum Noel Goddard, is profiled for its work deploying entanglement-based quantum networks through existing fiber optic cables beneath New York City, producing the first metro-scale quantum networking link of its kind in the U.S. "Once you have the infrastructure, the end users will come, and they are probably across the street," says Javad Shabani, director of the NYU Quantum Institute.
