Incubator proves attractive to fin-tech startups

The downturn and growth of innovative sector give rise to entrepreneurs.

After graduating from Polytechnic Institute of New York University with a computer science degree in 2006, Mike Aiello took a job in computer security with Goldman Sachs. But it took just a few years for the entrepreneurial urge to kick in.


HiddenLevers, which offers market analyses to small investment advisers, is now a full-time tenant, with three employees. Mr. Udeshi welcomes the chance to offer paid internships to NYU-Poly students, recalling that he lost his job while less productive workers with more seniority were retained.
