Heat wave: why home offices add to Con Ed's stress
Yury Dvorkin, assistant professor at NYU Tandon, who led a project on whether infrastructure systems were resilient enough to support large numbers of people working from home, commented on New York City's current heat wave, as well as the effects it has on energy consumption: “A heat wave is essentially an invisible hurricane. It pushes the system to its limit.”
