Clean Sweep: Women's Volleyball Wins Three

PURCHASE, NY -  The NYU-Poly women's volleyball team knew it had to do one thing on Saturday - win three matches. And, that's exactly what the Lady Jays did as they swept three Skyline Conference opponents to give the team a chance at first place - and hosting the Skyline Championships. But, that relied on a Mount Saint Mary loss which didn't happen, so NYU-Poly settles for 2nd place in the upcoming tournament.

The Lady Jays controlled the play in all three matches as they defeated St. Joseph's 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-19), then cruised past Farmingdale 3-0 (25-19, 25-11, 27-25), before roliing over Purchase 3-0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-18). The Lady Jays hitting was outstanding in all three matches and their defense was solid in route to an impressive day.
