Children’s Competition Bridges Fun And Learning With Legos


400 children and teachers converged on NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering at MetroTech Center in Brooklyn Saturday for the qualifying round of the First Lego League competition.

The competition aims to introduce children between 9 and 14 years old to real-world engineering challenges by constructing robotic devices using Lego Mindstorms technology.

The kids were then given the opportunity to use their robot to complete a variety tasks which simulate a real-life technological challenge, such as exploring energy alternatives or the surface of Mars.
