Brooklyn energy incubator flips the on-switch

The facility at the the New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering will house up to 20 startup companies working in the fields of sustainable infrastructure, energy efficiency and climate adaption.


New York City Economic Development Corp. and the New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering Thursday announced the opening of the Urban Future Lab. It is designed to house startups, focused on sustainable infrastructure, energy efficiency and climate adaption. The facility is expected to be a showcase for innovation in those fields and to provide training in them.
