Bosi's Last Second Shot Sends NYU-Poly to Victory

48-47 Win Over Farmingdale Seals Playoff Bye

BROOKLYN, NY -  Junior Megan Bosi (New Milford, NJ) had a quiet eight points in the first 39 minutes of Friday night's Skyline Conference contest between Farmingdale and NYU-Poly in women's basketball action.  Her final two points in the waning four seconds, were anything but quiet.

The 5'6" guard found herself in the corner with the ball and time winding down. Her shot hit the back of the rim bounced high-up in the air and came down through the net putting NYU-Poly up 48-47 and sending the packed gymnasium into a raucious celebration. A last ditched effort by Farmingdale's Mikita Green on a fast break up the court missed and NYU-Poly improved to 18-6 and 13-4 in the conference.

More importantly, the Lady Jays will clinch 2nd place and will receive a first round bye in the upcoming Skyline Conference playoffs, with a win tomorrow against Purchase. They will host and play the winner of the 3rd seed vs. the 6th seed on Thursday at 7:00pm.
