Professor Justin Cappos warned that AI coding tools have created serious security risks by putting powerful development capabilities in the hands of users who aren't equipped to use them safely: "If you invent the hammer, and then everyone has a hammer, you know, you're going to end up with a lot of smashed thumbs."
