Judges include Joe Silver, program manager at Urban Future Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Finalist Carmera is currently based at the Digital Future Lab at NYU Tandon.
The future of apartment living might have been on display Thursday night at the NYU CUSP building, as Brooklyn startup Bixby took home the win in the latest Make It In BK pitch competition. … The judges picked Bixby after “taking into consideration the maturity of the business, the local market of Brooklyn, the viability of the model and the promise of the technology,” they announced at the competition. … Fellow competitor Carmera is a Dumbo startup working on 3D mapping for autonomous vehicles which raised more than $6 million last year.
