Anatra Picks Up Two Wins as Baseball Sweeps Yeshiva
Jays defeat Maccabees to start off season 2-0
Bronx, NY - The NYU-Poly baseball team kicked off its season against Skyline Conference opponent Yeshiva University. Last season, the two teams split the season contests. But this year the Jays reigned supreme as they edged Yeshiva 4-2 and 11-8, and open the season at 2-0.
Senior Jon Paul Anatra (Douglaston, NY) picked up both wins, as he started the first contest, and then came into the second game in relief of freshmen Anthony Finch (Manhattan, NY) and earned the victory.
NYU-Poly will host Farmingdale on Saturday for another Skyline Conference contest. The home-opener starts at 12:00 pm.
