$5 Million STEM Scholarship Gift Made to NYU Polytechnic

NYU avidly seeks fundraising opportunities and its efforts were just made easier at its Polytechnic School of Engineering with a $5 million gift for the benefit of academically talented science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) students in need of financial aid.
The gift from the William R. and Marjorie Berkley Scholarship Fund represents the largest single gift in the School of Engineering’s history. William Berkley is the chairman and CEO of W.R. Berkley Corporation and also is chair-designate of NYU’s Board of Trustees. He will assume the chairmanship in October 2015.
