Mark Lee Headshot

Mark Lee is an Industry Assistant Professor of Technology Management in the NYU Tandon School of Engineering People Analytics group. Before joining the faculty full time in 2025, Mark taught as an adjunct professor in the department for 10 years, teaching courses in People Analytics, Statistics, Human Factors Engineering, Workplace Design, and the Management of Human Capital Systems. Mark comes to NYU as the former Head of Research, Analytics, and Business Development at the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) ComplianceWire business unit, serving the training needs of the Life Sciences industry. Mark spent many years as a Human Factors Engineer, improving the usability of a diverse range of industrial and consumer products, from fighter jets like the F-22 to Bridal Registry kiosks for department stores. Mark's industry career included roles with AT&T, Lockheed Martin, NCR, Pitney Bowes, Siemens, Underwriter's Laboratories, iThreat, Certara, and Medidata (Dassault Systems). In academia, Mark also was on the faculty at Old Dominion University, and was a NASA ASEE fellowship recipient. Mark is a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech, from where he earned his doctorate in Engineering Psychology with a minor concentration in Industrial Engineering. From a research perspective, Mark's interests include People Analytics, Learning, Perception, Human and Computer Interaction, Life Sciences (Clinical, PK/PD, Manufacturing), and Artificial Intelligence.
