Dr. Jasper Ainsworth is an Industry Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department. Originally from Long Island, he earned a BS in Chemistry from SUNY Binghamton in 2018 and went on to earn a PhD in Chemistry from Stanford University in 2024. His PhD research primarily focused on understanding the structure and function of copper-dioxygen enzymes through small molecule synthetic models. In teaching general chemistry and organic chemistry courses, Jasper hopes to emphasize the importance of chemistry in every STEM field and help students feel included in chemistry and science.
