Abstract

Dr. Jing Wang’s research program focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain, as well as perioperative cognitive dysfunction, by integrating mechanistic neuroscience, neuroengineering, artificial intelligence, and clinical translation. Their work spans cortical mechanisms of pain, objective neural biomarkers, precision medicine approaches, multicenter clinical trials, and the development of closed-loop neuromodulation strategies, with the goal of translating mechanistic insights into personalized therapies that improve patient care.

Dr. Jing Wang is a physician-scientist, NIH-funded investigator, Director of Multisite Studies, and Director of the Integrated Pain Research Program at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and NYU Langone Health. He leads a multidisciplinary team of more than 50 investigators across departments and institutions and has built a program spanning biomarker discovery, neurotechnology innovation, and clinical translation. He also serves as a leader in several multicenter national trials in pain and perioperative medicine, with the goal of advancing both scientific discovery and evidence-based patient care.
