Join the Department of Civil, Urban, and Environmental Engineering (CUE) for the Fall 2026 Doctoral Student Orientation. Incoming Ph.D. students will meet faculty advisors and department staff, review key PhD policies and handbook guidelines, hear from current students about life at CUE, and tour the department's labs and facilities.

Agenda:

  • 12:00–12:45 PM | Welcome & Introduction — PhD advisors, Mohsen, Jaclyn, and Magued (over lunch)
  • 12:45–1:15 PM | PhD Orientation Session — PhD regulations, policies, handbook review, and intro to CUE advisors
  • 1:15–1:45 PM | Meet CUE — current students on student life and activities
  • 1:45–2:00 PM | Departmental Lab Tour
  • Q&A — discussion and next steps
  • 4:00–7:00 PM | Happy Hour PhD Mixer! at Something Else Bar, DeKalb Market Food Hall
