  • Thursday - Saturday, October 13 - 15: Attend technical presentations and networking breakfasts and breaks.
     
  • Friday, October 14: Attend a lecture and guided tour of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum with engineers involved in the WTC recovery effort.

Transportation will be provided.


9/11 Memorial and Museum Lecture and Guided Tour

George Tamaro, P.E., consultant for Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers (MRCE), will give a lecture prior to the visit. The former partner-in-charge of MRCE's World Trade Center 9/11 recovery effort to stabilize the “bathtub” foundation, Tamaro was also key to the foundation's original construction. He will discuss the slurry wall construction method, the first application of this method at the WTC site, the response of the foundation system and the reconstruction approach.
