What attracted you to this program?
As an engineer, I often lack the opportunity to influence product design from the initial stages. Driven by a passion for user-centered design, I pursued a master's degree to research and improve the accessibility of digital interfaces. This Emerging Technologies, M.S. program provides a collaborative academic environment where I can study UX design and research alongside expert professors and like-minded peers. Through hands-on assignments, I'm gaining valuable experience and further developing my design and engineering skills. The connections I've made with mentors and peers have also contributed to my personal and professional growth.
What was your favorite class?
Game Design within the Computer Science department (taken on campus). This has been my favorite because it was the most demanding and rewarding. I believe that games are the epitome of UX design and I learned so much about how to develop a game that truly resonates with people.
What advice would you give to someone considering a Master's program at Tandon?
I would say to jump in with a strategy and give yourself grace.

I studied and lived in South Africa for 6 months when I was 20 years old. It was my first time in Africa and in the Southern Hemisphere.
