Johnny Lai

Johnny Lai is Vice President at technology development company EnCADIS, leading the company's product management and system engineering efforts. Johnny's career started at AT&T and Lucent Technologies Bell Labs in the development of telecommunications systems. As a Member of the Technical Staff, he served in multiple technical positions, including systems engineering, hardware design, software development, system test, and project management. After advancing to a product management role as Senior Product Manager, he led a team and oversaw the development program of optical networking systems. Johnny was awarded the title of Lucent Technologies Distinguished Business Professional. After Bell Labs, Johnny took an entrepreneurial career path, working for and co-founding technology startups in telecom, digital TV, and high-performance computing fields.

Johnny holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York (now NYU Tandon School of Engineering). In addition, he holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration at New York University Stern School of Business. He is currently a Cyber Fellow and a candidate for the Master of Science in Cybersecurity at NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
