Hi! My name is Jennifer Granda, and I am a member of the Class of 2024 on the pre-med track, majoring in Biomolecular Science. I hope to contribute to the field of medicine in the future as an MD specializing in pediatrics. Ecuador and New Jersey are home to me. In my free time, I like working out, reading, and spending time with family and friends. 

 


Hi! My name is Aya Ibrahim and I am a junior on the pre-med track, majoring in Biomolecular Science and minoring in Public Health. I am a big advocate for preventative health care and equity, so I hope to become an internist or general practitioner. In my free time, I love to explore the city, take photos, and sing!


Hi! I’m Kaity, an MS student from the BS/MS program studying BioMedical Engineering. I am currently researching the ability to promote osteogenesis through bone-targeted delivery of CXCL12. I am also one of the coordinators for the BMS Laboratory Department. After graduating with my MS in May 2024, I plan to spend time in both the lab and OR under the guidance of an ophthalmologist physician-scientist.


Hi! I’m Tasnim, and I am a rising senior studying Biomolecular Science. I am interested in becoming a physician in the future, specializing in either dermatology or pediatrics. I am extremely interested in population health research and public policy. I am researching the impact of maternal adverse childhood experiences (like abuse and neglect) on a child’s development. In my free time, I love to read any book I can get my hands on and go fishing with my family. I am also currently working on my first mystery novel!


Hi! My name is Aanya, and I am a junior majoring in Biomolecular Science on the pre-med track. I am passionate about advancing the applications of technology in the medical field. I hope to become a physician and am currently interested in cardiology. In my free time, I like to explore the city through food and coffee, work out, and spend time with my friends and family.
 


Hi, my name is Faris Gomaa, and I am a junior at Tandon majoring in Biomolecular Science. I was born and raised in Brooklyn. My hobbies include reading and writing, as well as watching and analyzing movies. I look forward to fostering a strong community in the TPSB!


Hi everyone! My name is Kristin, and I am a junior majoring in Biomolecular Science on the pre-dental track. I hope to become an orthodontist one day and contribute to dental research around oligodontia. I am from the Bay Area in California, and in my free time, I love to explore the city, eat good food, and go on walks by the pier! Hi everyone! My name is Krystine, and I am a senior majoring in Biomolecular Science and minoring in Sociology while on the pre-med track. I am interested in looking at the intersection of social groups and medicine and how certain populations may be directly affected by the social groups they fall under in their access to medical resources and their susceptibility to disease. I was born and raised in New York and love exploring the city to find the best coffee!


Hi! My name is Reem, and I am a junior majoring in Biomolecular Science on a pre-dental track. I have a passion for studying oral health and hope to open my dental practice in the future. Home to me is Egypt, where I look forward to visiting my family. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing basketball, trying new food in NYC, and going to the beach!


Hey! I am Dhruv, a third-year Chemical and Biomolecular engineering student with a minor in Social and Public Policy. I am interested in the intersection of traditional medicine with engineering principles. In addition, I want to increase the accessibility of individuals receiving health care with biomedical devices and work on ways to help preventative medicine. Currently, I am a part of researching air and noise pollution and its effects on citizens in NYC Chinatown.

I hope to contribute to the field of medicine in the future as an MD, specializing in pediatrics. Home to me is both Cleveland, OH and Dallas, TX, and in my freetime, I like going on walks and exploring the different parks in NYC.


Hi, my name is Melica Livai and I'm a senior at Tandon on the pre-med track pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. I am a part of the VIP team Smart Wearables for Telerehab and Telemonitoring and interested in research on biomedical engineering. I hope to one day attend an MD-PHD program.  I was born and raised in Queens and love spending time in NYC with my friends.


Hello! My name is Tasnim Amran and I am a rising junior at NYU Tandon studying BMS. In my free time, I love to read books (any and every book I can get my hands on), spend time with family, and walk around in the Great outdoors. I hope to attend medical school in the near future and specialize in pediatric emergency medicine!


Hi! I’m Kaity, a senior pursuing a major in BMS and minors in Mathematics and in Psychology. After getting my MS degree in Biomedical Engineering from the BS/MS program, I plan to earn both an MD and a PhD. My interests include tissue engineering and orthopedics. I am currently one of the coordinators for the BMS Laboratory Department and am doing my Master’s research on promoting osteogenesis through bone-targeted delivery of CXCL12.

This summer I spent my time validating isoforms through various methods such as PCR and gel electrophoresis in Dr. Pinto’s lab at Mount Sinai. I hope to become a pediatric surgeon and partake in research too. During my free-time I like to read, workout, and spend time with family and friends.

Hi Everyone! My name is Lina Lee and I am a senior on a pre-dental track studying Biomolecular Science. I’ve been helping out the BMS labs as a Teaching Assistant and a Research Assistant for an Environmental Metagenomics lab. Would love to help out anyone who has questions regarding research or dentistry.  I call home both Minnesota and California! In my free time, I love to find new cafes, go to the beach, camp, and just take pictures!

I spent my first year at NYU’s Washington DC campus, which allowed me to learn that accessible healthcare and medical technology is as important as the direct practice itself. I worked as a County Community Health Worker and a hospice volunteer. In my free time I enjoy nerding out with video games, comics, falling down rabbit holes of random scientific facts, and being involved in the NYU community such as Tandon Motorsports.

Hi everyone, I’m Levi, a senior at Tandon pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I am a pre-med student and serving as president of TPSB this year. In my free time, aside from pre-med activities, I enjoy volunteering at robotics events and building off-road vehicles with NYU Tandon Motorsports.


Hi everyone! My name is Nawal Panjwani and I will be serving as the TPSB Vice President this academic year! I’m a Junior on the premed track majoring in BMS and minoring in Psychology. During my free time I like to sing, walk around NYC, and go thrifting! This summer I’m conducting research at the Kirsch Lab at NYU Langone Health for the early detection and treatment of osteoarthritis!


Hi! I am a rising senior at Tandon studying Biomolecular Science with minors in Mathematics and Psychology. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. I am currently pre-med, but am also a part of the BS/MS program and will get a Masters in Biomedical Engineering. This summer, I will be doing CRIPSR research at Tandon.


Hello! My name is Anand Patel, and I am a senior on a pre-med track studying Biomolecular Science. Upon graduation, I plan on attending medical school to pursue a surgical specialty. I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. In my free time, and when the weather permits, I am an avid skier! Currently, I am researching squamous cell carcinoma at the Smilow Research Center at NYU Langone.

Hi! My name is Emily and I am serving as this year’s Social Chair for TPSB. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Science and Technology Studies under the pre health track. In my free time, I enjoy biking along the Hudson river or across the Brooklyn Bridge. Currently, I am on a mission to find the best matcha place in New York. Hi! I am Chaehyun "Amy" Ryu, a sophomore majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering on a pre-med track. I was born in Korea and moved to the United States when I was in 6th grade. In my free time I enjoy cooking while listening to Kpop, and I also love making more friends. I would love to meet more Tandon students who are interested in pre-health.  


Hi! My name is Hanna and I’m a junior at Tandon studying Biomolecular Science with a double major in Journalism. I was born and raised in Manhattan. I am a first-generation college student and I hope to go to medical school upon graduation to become a surgeon. In my free time, I love going on long walks in the city, creating calligraphy art, and watching the New York Knicks. 


Hi! I’m Kaity, a junior pursuing a major in BMS and a minor is in Psychology. After getting my MS degree in Biomedical Engineering from the BS/MS program, I hope to be working on an MD/PhD with the PhD being focused on tissue engineering. I have done research regarding antibiotic resistance, metagenomics of wastewater, and mitochondria caused cell death. I have also been a TA for the Biomolecular Science program.


Hello! My name is Francesca and I am currently studying Biomolecular Science with a minor in Psychology. I am a first-generation student from Newtown, Pennsylvania, and I am applying to medical school following graduation. My biggest aspiration is to become a plastic surgeon and open up my own practice in New York City. I love reading, fashion, and cooking vegan meals! I'm a junior at NYU Tandon majoring in biomolecular science. I will be the president of the student board for the upcoming year. Upon graduation from NYU, I will be applying to medical schools. I hope to create more interesting events with all prehealth students and foster a warming prehealth community.

I am currently a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering servings as the Vice President of TPSB helping to plan events for the Tandon Prehealth community. After completion of my Bachelor's degree, I hope to attend medical school and pursue a career as a physician. In my spare time, I participate in Tandon Motorsports and volunteer at FIRST robotics events.

Fun Fact: I used to be a competitive figure skater


I am a junior majoring in Biomolecular Science in Engineering. I am the Treasurer of the Pre-health Committee. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My favorite pastimes are face-timing my beloved puppy, Edie, and trying out new restaurants. In the future, I hope to peruse a career in medicine.

Fun Fact: My last name means little white one in Italian.


I am a sophomore majoring in Biomolecular Science and minoring in Psychology. I am the Secretary of TBSP and am responsible for recording meeting minutes, evaluating TBSP events, and creating student interest surveys. Following her Bachelor's degree, I plan to attend medical school and specialize in either orthopedics or oncology. My favorite hobbies are singing and photography.

I am a junior majoring in Science Technology Studies in the pre-med track. I am the Opportunities Chair of TPSB. I was born and raised in California.

I am currently studying Biomolecular Science with a minor in Psychology. I am a first-generation student from Newtown, Pennsylvania, and I have one younger sister named Ivana. I am Italian, I play soccer, and I love fashion and cooking. My biggest aspiration is to become a plastic surgeon and open up my own practice in New York City.

Fun Fact: I want to change the world and impact as many lives as possible, making people feel confident about themselves and their bodies.


I am a sophomore majoring in Biomolecular Sciences on the pre-med track. After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I hope to continue on to medical school. I am the Social Chair of TPSB, so I will be handling all things social media. I was born and raised in Colorado. During my free time here in NYC, I like to explore new coffee shops to find the best dirty chai.

Fun fact: I lived in Colorado my whole life and have never been skiing!


I am a junior major in Biomolecular Science. I am the volunteering chair in the club, and I will be responsible for gathering volunteer opportunities from various resources. Besides school, I am also doing research about leukemia cancer cells at Tandon, and work as a tutor for a non- profit organization. My goal for the next two years would be attending a good medical school, and ultimately become a good doctor!

I am currently a sophomore on the pre-med track majoring in Biomolecular Science at NYU Tandon. My goal in pursuing medicine is to make medicine more accessible and sensitive to people of all backgrounds. My hometown is Cleveland, OH. Aside from serving as a member of the Tandon Pre-health Student Board, I also serve as an NYU Admissions Ambassador and a Poly Project Service Ambassador.

Fun Fact: I am a member of the NYU Taekwondo team


I am a freshman majoring in Mechanical Engineering serving as a TPSB ambassador. After completing college, I am hoping to attend either medical or dental school. In my free time, I love to cook and color. I was born in South Korea and moved to The United States when I was in 6th grade.

Fun fact: When I was young, I loved visiting dentistry so much that my dentist told me to become a dentist in the future.


Born and raised in Long Island, New York. Was born with an immune system disorder that has fueled my interest and drive for medicine ever since I can remember!
