The Technology Management Pre-Master Summer Program gives undergraduate students the opportunity to develop the strategic and innovation capabilities increasingly sought by employers across every sector while gaining firsthand exposure to graduate-level coursework.

Through two NYU master's-level courses taken over the summer, you will learn how to evaluate new technologies, develop competitive strategy, solve complex challenges through human-centered design, and make decisions that drive meaningful innovation.

You will complete the program with six transferable graduate credits, an NYU certificate of completion, and a stronger foundation for future graduate study, career growth, or both.

Gain New Perspective

Through two NYU graduate-level courses, you'll develop a broader understanding of how technology shapes organizations, and learn how to drive meaningful change through innovation and leadership.

• MG-GY 8673 Technology Strategy
  Explore how organizations evaluate technological change, respond to new competition, and develop innovation strategies that create long-term value. This course gives students a broad introduction to the relationship between technology, business, and organizational strategy.
• MG-GY 9013 Design Thinking for Creative Problem Solving
  Use human-centered methods to understand complex problems, generate ideas, build prototypes, and develop practical solutions through hands-on projects. This course gives students experience working through open-ended problems and collaborating across different backgrounds and disciplines.

If you’re considering graduate education, the Pre-Master Summer Program is an opportunity to experience graduate-level coursework before committing to a master's degree.

You will build relationships with faculty and fellow students, gain firsthand experience in graduate classes, and, if later admitted to NYU Tandon Technology Management master's programs in Management of Technology or Industrial Engineering, you may be able to apply earned credits toward their Master’s degree.

Whether your goal is to accelerate your education, strengthen your graduate school preparation, or simply broaden your perspective on technology and innovation, the program provides a meaningful step toward what's next.

• Complete 6 graduate credits by taking two NYU Tandon master's-level courses.
• Earn an NYU Certificate of Completion.
• Learn from our expert faculty, alongside graduate students from NYU.
• Participate in professional development activities, including:
  • NYC company visits
  • Alumni networking
  • Career and resume workshops
• Gain new connections with faculty, graduate students, NYU alumni, and other undergraduate participants.
• Live on NYU's Brooklyn campus in university housing (Limited NYU housing available for interested participants).

The Technology Management Pre-Master Summer Program fee is $9,950.

Students later admitted to eligible NYU Tandon Technology Management master's programs can apply earned credits toward their degree, subject to university policies and procedures.

The program welcomes ambitious, eligible* undergraduate students entering their senior or junior year.

Students from a wide range of disciplines are encouraged to apply, including:

No prior background in management is required.
