Product Management Club | NYU Tandon School of Engineering

Club Description

The NYU Product Management Club (NYUPMC) is an NYU-wide student organization that helps students explore and grow careers in Product Management and adjacent product roles (Product Design, Product Strategy, Product Marketing, Growth, and more). They host speaker events, panels, workshops, office visits, and a structured graduate bootcamp track at NYU Tandon. Their goal is to make product learning practical and accessible through real-world frameworks, hands-on activities, and direct industry engagement.

Why Students Should Join

NYUPMC helps students:

  • Learn the fundamentals of product thinking and how PM teams work in industry
  • Build recruiting readiness (resume/portfolio, networking, interview prep)
  • Connect with industry professionals through panels, workshops, and mentorship
  • Join a community of peers interested in product across NYU schools

Highlights

Tandon club leaders curated and launched a Graduate Product Management Bootcamp — a selective, cohort-based program covering product discovery, PRDs, prototyping, validation, metrics, and final presentations. The cohort had major representation from MOT/TMI students, and the program featured over seven industry PMs and hands-on deliverables designed to be portfolio-ready.

The also club hosted several large-scale events in the 2025 Fall semester, including three at NYU Tandon and one at BrainStation’s NYC office, with 170+ students in attendance and speakers from Google, Microsoft, Capital One, Salesforce, among others. This helped solidify NYUPMC’s presence at NYU Tandon and establish a strong graduate vertical.
