Students built a prototype geospatial dashboard to support effective and efficient asset planning and budgeting. The dashboard was created around the public building component of the NYC’s Asset Information Management System (AIMS) database, and brought together additional sources including: historical data, NYC Department of Building records, NYC land use information, prior project design and construction documents, energy usage data, and flood zone and inland flooding data. The dashboard facilitated capital cost savings for NYC.
