Global Challenge: Cybersecurity and Sustainability
What we used to think was impossible is now at the tips of our fingers. The world has become incredibly fast paced and technologically advanced that any 21st century engineer needs to understand every aspect of modern day engineering.
Bio:
I am an undergraduate student at NYU Tandon studying Computer Science. Born and raised in San Jose, California, I have grown up in the heart of technology, Silicon Valley, and have been exposed to the STEM field from a young age. Since my sophomore year of high school, I’ve explored the field of computer science by taking high-level courses through HarvardX and gained a strong foundation in web development and Python. With this strong foundation, I used Django, HTML, and CSS to develop a few of my own web applications that integrated my other interests like skincare and fashion. At NYU, I have been a member of the Society of Women Engineers. In the summer of 2022, I delved into a different aspect of software in the semiconductor industry through an internship at Lam Research, where I was able to work on semiconductor tools that manufacture chips through copper deposition. I’ve explored several areas of engineering, and with all the skills I have gained, I am hoping to research more about affordable, efficient, and secure technology. Aside from academics and work, I spend time swimming, traveling, and eating food! I also love watching basketball and supporting my favorite team, the Golden State Warriors!
