What we used to think was impossible is now at the tips of our fingers. The world has become incredibly fast paced and technologically advanced that any 21st century engineer needs to understand every aspect of modern day engineering.

 

Bio:

Raiya is an undergraduate student at NYU Tandon, majoring in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Cybersecurity. Born and raised in San Jose, California—the heart of Silicon Valley—she has been immersed in technology from a young age, fueling her passion for software engineering and artificial intelligence.

As a Databases Teaching Assistant, Raiya is committed to helping students deepen their understanding of database systems while also refining her own technical skills. She enjoys serving as a resource for others and finds that teaching enhances her own
learning and expertise.

She has interned at several companies, including GoodRx, Verizon, and Lam Research, gaining experience in both software and hardware development. She looks forward to applying these skills in her upcoming software engineering role. Beyond academics and work, Raiya enjoys swimming, traveling, and exploring new cuisines. She is also an avid basketball fan and a devoted supporter of the Golden State Warriors.
