Bio:

I am a rising sophomore majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. I intend to further my education and obtain a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering. This field is appealing to me because in many parts of the world, access to medical technology is scarce. I was born in New York City, but raised in Guinea, where I was exposed to this harsh reality at an early age.

On campus, I am involved with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Muslim Student Association (MSA). Through these extracurricular activities, I have found a community at Tandon that supports me throughout my journey. This upcoming year, I will be working as a Teaching Assistant for the introductory engineering course (EG1004). I am grateful for the connections I have made so far and I look forward to growing my community during my time in GLASS.

A fun fact about me is that I am fluent in 5 languages. I am also in the process of learning Spanish and American Sign Language. I find languages fascinating as they explore a way to explore and appreciate different cultures and traditions.
