Global Challenge: Sustainability in Urban Environments
With a growing proportion of humans living in urban areas, the importance of creating sustainable cities and communities grows with it.”
Bio:
I was born and raised in Singapore, and I'm now a full-time student majoring in Sustainable Urban Environments at NYU Tandon. In my last 2 years of high school, I was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship to study abroad at United World College Changshu, China.
Before attending Tandon, I’ve had experience working at the Urban Redevelopment Authority, a government agency in Singapore. There I worked under the physical planning department, working mainly on research and proposals. Other research projects that I have taken on include a recycled glass 3D printing study. This research was done for a professor of architecture at the National University of Singapore.
Currently, I am part of the Singapore Students Association as the External Vice President. I have been part of this association since my first year at NYU. I am proud to be part of this group as it has been a joy to have a hand in organizing events that bring people together at NYU.
