Bio:

I’m a sophomore Electrical Engineering major with a minor in Integrated Design & Media. I have a huge interest in audio design and engineering, and am looking to combine my major and minor to accomodate for that vision. Alongside my deep passion for music and music culture, I would love to work as an audio engineer for live performances in the future! I was born in Austin, Texas from a Belgian mother and Palestinian father. Since the age of five, I have moved to Singapore, Atlanta, Shanghai, Seoul, and now am a passionate citizen of New York City.

I have started this summer as an Undergraduate Student Worker in the MakerSpace here at Tandon. My current greatest takeaway from this job is the opportunity to work with engineering in practicality, and most importantly, in collaboration with others. I am the most extreme extrovert I know, in that I will never pass up an opportunity to spend time with others before choosing to be alone. Before this job, I worked with a team of doctorate students to gather frequency propagation scans and write journal papers for 6G wireless research. I also participated as an avionics team member in NYU’s NASA Student Launch Competition team, Rogue Aerospace. These positions gave me a much stronger insight on what sort of things I love about electrical engineering, and where I could definitely grow (P.S.: I still have a lot to learn in terms of circuits).

On the more social side, I am part of NYU’s engineering-based fraternity, Theta Tau! I spend most of my time on the Tandon campus socializing and working with my friends from there. My personal passions are a little further from the technical engineering side, since I spend most of my free time skateboarding and professionally DJing!
