Global Challenge: Sustainable Energy Infrastructure
For me, electrical engineering is about finding better ways to power the world. Whether it’s enhancing existing infrastructure or designing new equipment, I believe that reliable and efficient energy systems are the backbone of progress, providing the foundation for innovation, growth, and opportunity.
Bio:
I am currently a junior at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. Growing up in Long Island, my Dominican roots shaped my values of hard work, resilience, and a deep appreciation for community.
These values have guided my involvement at Tandon, where I actively participate in several esteemed programs. I am a Tandon STEM Scholar, recognized by the Horatio Alger Association. I serve as a Resident Assistant at Brittany Hall, mentor for the Academic Achievement Program, and am a member of both the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Each of these programs has provided me with invaluable opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals.
Building on these experiences, my journey at Tandon has been one of growth, learning, and self-discovery. I’m excited about the endless possibilities ahead and confident that my dedication and commitment will lead me to a successful and impactful career as an engineer.
