Global Challenge: Data Science/AI/Robotics and Cybersecurity

A true global leader is a visionary, who can explore the intricacies of our undeniably interconnected world with elegance and insight. They have a profound comprehension of the worldwide economy, global relations, and the cultural nuances of different regions and countries.

Bio:

I am a rising junior at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, studying Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. I was born and raised in New Rochelle, New York, where my passion for technology blossomed.

Growing up in a very diverse city like New Rochelle, I was given the opportunity to embrace a variety of cultures, traditions, and, most importantly, perspectives. My upbringing enabled me to see the challenges within my community, motivating me to leverage technology to address these issues.

My commitment to implementing meaningful technology extends beyond national borders. I began a personal project to develop a smart mirror to alert residents of Abu Dhabi regarding air quality concerns. Nearly three months later, I contributed to a sustainable development simulation with a team based in Hanoi, Vietnam. These global experiences have enriched my understanding of how technological solutions can address diverse environmental and societal challenges, reinforcing my dedication to internationally creating impactful, innovative solutions.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I love to stay active through soccer and surfing, and I’m always excited to travel to a new country! I like to think that my explorative side keeps me grounded and inspired. I look forward to continuing this journey and contributing to meaningful advancements in the field throughout my time here at NYU.
