Global Challenge: Provide Energy From Fusion
Bio:
I am a sophomore at NYU Tandon School of Engineering studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. I am from Clarksville Maryland and I am interested in the development of sustainable materials.
In my senior year of high school, I worked as a research assistant in an environmental science lab at the University of Maryland where we used food waste to create biofuel and bioplastics. I have experience in research at Tandon working in a CBE lab that studies how we can modify chemical processes to use sustainable energy sources in place of traditional fossil fuels. I’m excited to be part of this work because I believe that developing sustainable technology is vital for future generations. I plan to focus on sustainability and environmental concepts throughout my time at NYU and after graduation.
Living in New York City has been a new experience for me as I grew up in the suburbs. I have loved getting to explore the city and I especially enjoy the varied food scene. Some of my interests include reading, baking, and fashion.
