NYU Tandon is committed to supporting veterans in the pursuit of their academic, professional, and personal goals.
In addition to the Veterans Benefits available through New York University, NYU Tandon offers unique programs designed to help veterans become entrepreneurs or to enter select science and engineering fields.
Veterans Entrepreneurship Training (VET)
The Veterans Entrepreneurship Training (VET) program is designed for veterans who want to transition into entrepreneurship after completing their service. The program is made possible by support from New York Assemblyman Joseph Lentol.
VET is open to veterans with early-stage companies or ideas for companies. Participants in the program will learn from academic experts and industry leaders through hands-on experiential learning, mentorship, and capstone projects. Through the program’s business and technology training, participants will be given the tools to turn aspirations into career opportunities and new ventures. Upon successful completion, graduates will earn a VET Certificate from the Future Labs at NYU Tandon.
Veterans Future Lab
The Veterans Future Lab is New York's first business incubator for military veterans. Sponsored by Barclay's, this initiative is part of the NYU Tandon Future Labs, a network of innovation spaces and programs that support early-stage startups through personalized and curated support services, mentorship and resources.
The Veterans Future Lab is open to graduates of NYU Tandon Future Labs’ Veteran Entrepreneurship Training (VET) program, early-stage companies with one to five full- time staffers, and seasoned veteran entrepreneurs willing to mentor and seeking expanded office space.
Located in easy-to-reach Industry City, an exciting multi-use former industrial complex in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park, the Veterans Future Lab is just minutes away from Downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
