Avol wins $5,000 prize at Make It in Brooklyn Future of Transportation pitch contest


At the Make It in Brooklyn Future of Transportation pitch contest, four startups competed for a $5,000 prize, with Avol emerging victorious. Judge Jannie Gao, Assistant Director of Research at C2SMARTER, NYU Tandon’s Tier 1 U.S. Department of Transportation-funded University Transportation Center, along with other industry experts, selected Avol's medical drone delivery service for its potential to revolutionize healthcare logistics by transporting blood, organs, and medical supplies. Competing startups included PopWheels' battery-swapping network, Kquika's AI-powered aviation maintenance, and EZGlyd's foldable cargo scooter.
