New Student Parents’ Program
Every year we welcome our incoming undergraduate student’s parents and guardians to Brooklyn and NYU with the New Student Parents’ Program. This event focuses on connecting parents with faculty, staff and each other, to learn more about NYU, the School of Engineering, and the resources offered.
NYU Parents' Day
NYU Parent’s Day begins with a morning academic program with a Welcome for all parents of new NYU Tandon students. The rest of the day includes lunch on your own and then various workshops held by the NYU Student Resource Center. The day will conclude with an all-NYU parent's reception with time in the evening free for you to spend time with your student. Please note, this event is not mandatory.
Visit NYU Parent Events for additional information.
Travel & Shopping
We strongly encourage parents to attend the Parents' Program and then to plan on saying goodbye to your student by that evening, as students will start with a full day of Orientation the next day.
