Women In STEM: Engineering the Path Forward
Welcome to an NYU Tandon Inaugural Symposium:
"Women in STEM: Engineering the Path Forward".
Thursday, September 27th
Pfizer Auditorium, 5 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201
Since its founding in 1854, NYU Tandon, formerly Brooklyn-Poly, has always been on the cutting edge of technology and innovation. The school, who's alum coined the phrase the 'American Dream',
that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller...a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain the fullest stature of which they are innately capable..."
is proud to have focused on diversity and specifically worked to create a gender neutral engineering school. This year's incoming class is 43% female, 20% higher than the national average.
With this as the backdrop, NYU Tandon is proud to host the 2018 Women's Symposium: Women in STEM: Engineering the Path Forward.
The Symposium will feature representatives from leading companies, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, influential executives, and accomplished Tandon alumni.
One highlight is sure to be the Town Hall, where teams of aspiring female entrepreneurs from Tandon will pitch their new businesses to participating venture capitalists, and opportunities for recruiting and networking will take place throughout the day.
The Symposium is supported by AT&T, IBM, Con Edison, Mastercard, JPMorgan Chase, and 3M, all actively committed to advancing women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
