The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is pleased to announce two very special events for the Polytechnic community during the upcoming NYU Alumni Day on October 23, 2010. Join us in Washington Square as we come together to celebrate Polytechnic's rich history and learn about how NYU-Poly is concentrating its energy in order to respond to the world’s highest-priority challenges of our time. 

Technology for a Green Future

10:30am - 11:30am, Room 2-60, 44 W 4th St., NYC (2nd Floor)
New York City is an epicenter where issues such as security, infrastructure, energy, and economy converge. Learn how our alumni and faculty are merging science and technology with policy, business, health, and finance in order to foster sustainable cities for the 21st century. Panelists will be moderated by Dr. Richard Gross' 86, NYU-Poly Professor of Chemical and Biological Sciences, and will include alumni and faculty from NYU-Poly and NYU's Stern School of Business. 

NYU-Poly Alumni Luncheon with Provost Dianne Rekow

12:00pm, Lipton Hall, D’Agostino Hall, 40 Washington Square South, NYC
Join Provost Dianne Rekow and fellow alumni for a lively luncheon, as we gather to celebrate Polytechnic’s rich history and promising future.  Learn about NYU-Poly’s three main focus areas of Health & Biomedicine, Urban Sustainability, and IT & Multimedia, and celebrate the achievements of Erol Gelenbe, PhD '68 and Howard Hausman '67, '71 as they are presented with the Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

These event are free to Polytechnic alumni and one guest. To register, please visit alumni.nyu.edu and follow the instructions for NYU Alumni Day registration. Registration deadline is October 16, 2010, and space is limited.
