Mark your calendars for NYU Tandon's Commencement Exercises. In addition to the commencement ceremony, we will host a hooding ceremony to celebrate the achievements of all 2024 doctoral degree recipients in May. Graduation candidates should continue to check their NYU emails for updates throughout the spring semester.

Commencement Schedule
2:45 p.m. Doors open for candidates/graduates and guests
4:00 p.m. Ceremony begins with dais procession
- Performance of the Star Spangled Banner — Neha Das, B.S. Electrical Engineering, Class of 2025
- Welcome from the NYU Tandon Board — Chandrika Tandon, Chair, NYU Tandon Board
- Alumni Association Welcome — Robert V. Jones, President, Polytechnic Alumni Association
- Valedictory Address — Dorothy Zhang, B.S./M.S. Computer Science and Engineering
- Commencement Address — Dede Bartlett, Retired Vice President and Corporate Secretary, Philip Morris Co., Inc., and Mobil Corporation
- Dean's Remarks — Jelena Kovačević, William R. Berkley Dean and Professor, NYU Tandon
4:35 p.m. Presentation of graduates

Students engaging in the advertising, promotion (including contests, giveaways or sweepstakes) or other trade or commercial sale of Commencement tickets will be subject to NYU disciplinary sanctions, including without limitation the delayed issuance of a degree or diploma. |

Eligibility
All September 2023, December 2023, and January 2024 graduates and May 2024 candidates are eligible to attend and participate in Commencement as graduates of the Class of 2024 and may attend the Tandon Commencement Ceremony, as well as the All-University Commencement Exercises. In order to attend, students must first apply for their degree through the Registrar's Office.
Dean’s Exceptions: Students who will not complete their coursework by May 2024 and will have one or two courses remaining to take by the end of the summer can apply for a Dean's Exception.
Students must apply by Monday, April 1. To request an exception, please fill out the Dean’s Exception Form. Students who plan on applying for a Dean's Exception should also apply for Graduation as September 2024 graduates prior to the April 1 Dean’s Exception deadline. Students who missed this deadline should email graduation@nyu.edu.

PLEASE NOTE: Ph.D. candidates are not eligible to apply for a Dean's Exception.
