My research focuses on the combined effect of fluid-structure interactions and cold temperatures on the dynamic response of marine composites. The use of composite materials in naval structures allows to reduce the operational costs and weight of ships, thus making the shipping industry more environmentally friendly. Before the widespread use of these new, innovative materials in everyday shipping, we have to first understand their behavior under realistic conditions.
