Silvio Alessandroni

Silvio Alessandroni is an Innovation Manager in the Operational Technologies area with twenty years of professional experience in the private sector. He received M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sapienza University in 1999, M.Sc. in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech in 2000, Ph.D. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Sapienza University in 2002, and M.B.A. from Tor Vergata University in 2019. After an experience in the automotive and helicopter R&D sector (FCA & Agusta Westland), since 2004 he has been working in the Utility Sector at Areti spa (Electric Distribution System Operator of the metropolitan area of Rome).

Over the years he has coordinated the development of innovative technological solutions and the digitization of operational processes in the Smart Grid & Automation / Remote Control areas. His current mission is to integrate new technologies (such as IoT, drones, satellite, AI) to systematically improve the electric service continuity in Rome. Silvio is a well published author, who continued to disseminate his technical findings till date.
