We’re Making the Facebook Papers Public. Here’s Why and How

The technology publication Gizmodo plans to publish documents containing thousands of confidential memos, chat logs and hidden research, collected by a former Facebook product manager and shared with financial regulators.

Participating in a committee of independent experts convened by Gizmodo to make sure the process is done responsibly are the founders of NYU Tandon's Cybersecurity for Democracy project Damon McCoy, associate professor of computer science and engineering, and member of the NYU Center for Cybersecurity; and Laura Edelson, a Ph,D.candidate under McCoy's direction.

As part of the committee they join experts from the ACLU, Columbia University, Marquette University and the University of Massachusetts.
